A year after its initial release, Mortal Kombat 11 has been given a major update. Mortal Kombat: Aftermath gives players new characters, some new stages, a new story, and some very exciting surprises.
The story picks up right where Mortal Kombat 11 left off. Shang Tsung is attempting to convince the other heroes, that he should be sent back in time in order to retrieve Kronika’s crown and save the space-time continuum. This is more or less, what you’d expect from NetherRealm. The studio has set themselves up as the top-tier storytellers, in fighting games.
The three new characters are; Fujin, Sheeva, and, Robocop. Robocop’s inclusion makes no sense, but this is Mortal Kombat. Nothing makes sense and that’s where the joy lies.
And Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath contains a lot of joy, that will please new and old fans alike. There’re loads of obscure references and Easter Eggs, that will go over the head of new players. But please long-time aficionados.
Much like with Mortal Kombat 11, the graphics are incredible and gory. This is not a game for the faint heart. However, I feel I must mention the price. It’s pretty hefty, You can get the original game with Aftermath for £50 (or Aftermath plus the Kombat Pack for £40), which is a pretty decent deal, but at £40 for a couple of extra hours gameplay and a few extra characters, you’re essentially paying the price of a new game.
But, if the price doesn’t bother you and you’re itching to play as Robocop, then you’re in for a fun time.

According to Deadline, Henry Cavill is in talks to reprise his role as Superman in the Warner Bros DCEU.
Cavill has always been positive towards the role and has made it clear, that he would love to come back. As and when the studio need him.
The news comes just a week after Zack Snyder announced his cut of Justice League, will stream on HBO Max.
It looks like Cavill’s return won’t be for a man of steel sequel, but as a supporting character in other films. The Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman 1984 are already in the can, so if I were a betting man, I’d place money on him showing up in Black Adam, and Shazam 2. With a possible cameo in The Flash.
What’s interesting, is that Cavill started hitting the gym again yesterday…

Good Omens stars David Tennant and Michael Sheen are teaming up once again, for a new lockdown comedy being produced by the BBC titled Staged.
They will play the cast of a furloughed West End theatre production during the coronavirus pandemic.
The story follows the cast as “they try to keep rehearsals on track during lockdown, with their efforts often bordering on the absurd and the humorous.”
BBC director of content Charlotte Moore said in a statement:
“It’s so important that the BBC provides moments of humor and light relief and this mischievous idea shows what great sports Michael and David are.”
With a line-up including Georgia Tennant, Lucy Eaton and Anna Lundberg. The show will also have a selection of guest stars including Nina Sosanya, with more to be confirmed in due course.
The Staged production team are following the latest government guidelines on Covid-19 to ensure that the series is made safely and responsibly, using a combination of self-shooting and video conferencing technology, all in accordance with the latest protocols.
Based on an original idea by Simon Evans and Phin Glynn – Staged is written and directed by Evans and is an Infinity Hill/GCB Films production for BBC One. It was commissioned by Charlotte Moore, Director BBC Content. The producers are Phin Glynn, Victor Glynn and Georgia Tennant. David Tennant and Michael Sheen are also executive producers of the series. Executive Producers for Infinity Hill are Axel Kuschevatzky and Cindy Teperman and for GCB, Geoff Iles.
The series will air in June 2020 on BBC One and will be available as a box set on BBC iPlayer after transmission.
A Dalek has been spotted ordering people to stay indors.
Most of the UK is currently on a government-ordered lockdown as part of a national effort to save lives, although there are some members of the public who’ve been disregarding the guidelines this weekend, due to unseasonabily warm weather.
A video posted on Twitter has shown a Dalek, roaming the street in a countryside village.

Doctor Who: At Childhood’s End is the first Doctor Who novel from Sophie Aldred who played the Seventh Doctor’s friend Ace, published 6th February 2020.

But can the Doctor atone for her past incarnation’s behaviour – and how much must Ace sacrifice to win victory not only for herself, but for the Earth? Past or future, which path do you choose?

Recently, it was announced that Marvel Studios were planning to release never before scene footage, as part of The Infinity Saga boxset. The box set will consist of every MCU film up to Avengers: End Game.
Marvel Studios Big Boss, Kevin Feige has shared one such scene. It’s an unused post-credits scene from 2008’s Iron Man. Nick Fury mentions “Mutants” and radioactive bug bites”.
I imagine this was dropped due to rights issues, at the time 20th century Fox owned X-Men, Daredevil and Fantastic Four. Whilst Sony owned Spider-Man, this was years before the now defunct rights sharing deal. A similar thing happened with Blade, the original last shot saw Michael Morbius standing on top of a building staring down at Blade. This scene was dropped when Sony’s lawyers reminded New Line, that Sony own the character.
