Fans have been screaming for a solo Hulk movie since Mark Ruffalo first smashed his way on to screen.
Whilst doing press for Avengers:Age of ultron, Ruffalo revealed why we haven’t yet seen a Hulk movie.
“As far as a Hulk movie, a standalone Hulk movie, Marvel doesn’t really have the rights to that yet. That’s still Universal’s property, so there’s that issue. That’s a big impediment to moving forward with that. Now I don’t think that’s insurmountable, by the way, but I don’t know where it’s going from here for me”.
Because Universal has distribution rights for a solo Hulk film, that does make a solo film difficult for Marvel. But a few years ago, we thought a Sony/Marvel deal was a pipe dream so a universal/Marvel deal isn’t impossible.
The moment that Elliott cycles past the moonlight in the 1982 classic family film E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial has been named Universal’s most memorable movie moment of the past 100 years by UK film fans.
As the studio celebrates its 100th Anniversary on 30th April 2012, a poll of over 1,000 Brits reveals that the scene from E.T. set to John Williams’ famous score is the most cherished moment in its history (19.5%), followed by Roy Scheider delivering the famous line ‘You’re gonna need a bigger boat’ in the 1975 classic Jaws (10.9%). To mark the centennial, a range of 15 titles including Mamma Mia! The Movie, The Birds, Jurassic Park and Gladiator have been released on DVD & Blu-ray featuring interactive Augmented Reality packaging.
