Brighton-based designer Sugar Jones is to launch her spectacular new jewellery line next weekend as part of the Bank Holiday Craftaganza.
Fresh from her nomination as a ‘Best in Britain Start-Up’ in the Great Exhibition 2012, Sugar Jones will give a first public outing to her new range, ‘Mechanical Botanicals’.
She said: “Brighton has long been famous for its innovative approach to steampunk jewellery but the Mechanical Botanicals range takes this to the next level. The designs still use traditional vintage watch parts and assorted Victorian ephemera, but they incorporate a much softer side through the use of brass flowers and summer insects.
“The result is a much more subtle, more wearable steam punk look for those who simply must stand out from the crowd.”
Sugar Jones is one of the brands nominated for a place in the 2012 Great Exhibition event, which has been set up to showcase the very best in British talent. You can vote for the designs to be shortlisted for a national award at http://www.thegreatexhibition2012.co.uk/greats/sugar-jones/?search=1
